If Someone Offered You $1,000,000 or 1,000,000 Minutes, Which Would You Take?

If someone offered to instantly add $1,000,000 to your bank account or magically add 1,000,000 minutes to your life, which one would you choose?

Do you have to think about it?  Are you crunching the numbers?

60 minutes in an hour, 24 hours in a day, 365 days in a year… 1,000,000 minutes is about 1.9 years.

Or did you have this decided instantly?  Did you know the answer the moment you heard the question? Which did you choose?

I could go on and on and write a long blog post about how your time is more important than your money but you already get that.  The purpose of this blog post is to give you a friendly reminder as sometimes we forget this fact of life and we sell ourselves short.  Don’t work super long hours for super low pay.  Don’t do things with your time as if you have an un-limited supply.  Don’t work harder today so you can have a better tomorrow, then have tomorrow come and again you work harder today for a better tomorrow. Then tomorrow comes and again you work harder today for a better tomorrow… Eventually, a better tomorrow needs to arrive!  Working smarter today makes tomorrow better.

Don’t sell yourself short.  Put the appropriate value on your time and find others willing and able to work hard on the lower value tasks for you.
