Grow Your eCommerce Business 1% per Day and See Where You Go!

 

Do you feel overwhelmed like there’s too much to do and too little time to do it?  You’re not along.  Every true entrepreneur feels the same way.  

The key is to harness this energy, focus your efforts, build a plan and execute towards your goals one day at a time.  Your success won’t come overnight but if you continue to improve your business each day in some small way it will eventually get there.

This is episode 1 of eCommerce Wisdom where I share a simple lesson learned over the years that I wish I would have learned much earlier in my entrepreneur career.  I hope you can learn quicker than I did from simply spending five to ten minutes with me and this podcast.

Today’s simple but powerful lesson is the idea of growing your business by 1% each day.  Like I said, it’s a simple lesson but one we need to remind ourselves each and every day until it becomes habit.

After reminding myself of this lesson each and every day, I finally built this into a habit myself.  Every day I spend, correction I invest, my time into something that will grow my business 1% once done.  The key is not to focus on the 1% number.  It’s not like everything you do can be measured in that way.  The idea is to focus on improving something in a small way each day and through consistency these small changes will add up into something much bigger over time that becomes noticeable.

Because I’ve basically outsourced my entire day-to-day activities to my team of eCommerce virtual assistants, I’ve got the luxury of working on growing my business each and every day.  If you don’t feel you have the time to grow your business, you first must find the time.  Make the time.  Whatever it takes.  If you never invest the time to grow your business, you’re simply working for your business instead of on it.  You have a job.  You may be the boss, but you’re also the employee.

What’s the saying? If you’re not growing, your falling behind.

Set aside at least one hour per day doing something that improves your business long-term.  Start a journal to document your changes and improvements.  Pat yourself on the back once your done.  Realize you just spent that hour working smarter than you can work all day doing anything else because it will pay back day after day in the future.  It’s this 1% you build each day that adds up into major changes over time.

I hope you take this tip and seriously do it!  I feel it’s a secret ingredient into my own success and I know it will help you reach your success as well.
